Meadows volunteers play a crucial role in the our community - without out this incredible team, the festival would not exist today and be celebrating its 10th year. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers from 2011 to 2020 for the thousands of hours you have contributed to this mountain.
THE VOLUNTEERING PACT

Our application consists of four steps:
Subscribe to the newsletter if you have not done so yet.
Sign up for our software Zone via: https://form.zonefestival.com/?k=mitm_v1.
Pay the deposit to lock down your volunteering position via our ticketing provider FixersWorld.
After we’ve received the deposit, we will confirm your volunteering position.
If you have volunteered with us before, please send us an e-mail and we will waive your deposit. After you have completed all four steps, you can consider yourself to be fully confirmed as a MITM volunteer for 2020.
We are looking forward to seeing you on the mountain!
If you at any point realize that you will not be able to attend the festival, just let us know ASAP so we can find a replacement for you.
We will refund your deposit upon cancellation up to April 1st, 2020. We will start assigning shifts by January 15, 2020.
The shifts will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis, meaning that volunteers who paid their deposit earlier will be given preference over the choice of your shifts.

Detailed travel tips and accommodation details will be provided in early February, at which point we recommend that you start booking in your travel.
If you have questions in the meantime, feel free to email or call us!
There is no set deadline for applications, but we usually close them around late April.
Most teams fill up a long time before that date, so we advise that you sign up and pay your deposit as soon as possible.
The first Build + Art & Decor shifts will be on the 30th or 31st of May. with the other crews starting somewhere between June 1st and 4th.
We will have smaller briefings for early arrivals, but attending our volunteer briefing on Wednesday, June 3rd, 18:00, is mandatory for all volunteers.
Please make sure that you arrive in time for the briefing.
Getting to the festival
We always release a detailed travel guide for our volunteers and staff, but generally you are required to arrange your own transport to and from the festival.
MITM provides shuttles from Sofia Airport to the festival site and back on our website, but we do not offer a discount for volunteers.
Either way, you should calculate around 15-50 Euros per person to get from Sofia to the festival site, depending on the size of your group and method of travel.
As a volunteer, you have free access to our crew campsite, which is located close to the production area and crew entrance to the festival.
You are recommended to bring your own camping gear, but we usually also offer a few two-person tents for volunteers at a discounted rate.
You are also more than welcome to join our facebook group if you want to get to know other volunteers, share travel plans, trade shifts or ask volunteers from the last years about their experience.
Thanks for taking the time to read through this!
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail us or give our volunteer manager David a call via +31 631 494 182.
All the best, Your MITM volunteering team.
In 2019 we were able to begin work on our food forest by planting 15 young trees. We now have apple, pear, plum, fig and walnut trees growing on site which are nourished by our fresh and nutrient high compost from last year’s festival.
